GKCU SYSTEM UPGRADE
All Aboard! Exciting Times Ahead for GKCU
On Monday, June 2, GKCU will upgrade to a new processing system (the primary system that manages almost every transaction for members). We hope you’ve been keeping up with communications from us to stay a part of this exciting journey to a new, improved and more secure system. Best of all, this system has the ability to grow with us and expand as we service your needs for years to come.
As we approach the conversion date, we want to share some important information in regards to the changes that will take place (and the ones that will stay the same), dates of downtime, and contact numbers. Our team will be working hard to ensure this transition is as seamless as possible, but know you can contact us if you have questions or need additional information.
GKCU System Conversion: Monday, June 2, 2025
All after-hour services will be offline Friday at 5:30pm. We will be closed Monday, June 2 and scheduled to open for regular business hours on Tuesday, June 3.
WHAT WILL CHANGE:
Account Numbers: Your main member number will stay the same. Account suffixes associated with your various accounts (ie. checking, money market, kids club, etc.) will change. They will have their own unique account identifiers under your main member number. If you have direct deposit or auto-pays set up with those numbers, you will have to reset those with the new numbers. Your checking account number will stay the same.
Online/Mobile App: Our online and mobile services WILL change to provide better, faster and more convenient access. You will need to enroll in our new online service, BANNO, and then download our new mobile app, GKCU2GO. Once you enroll, you can sign-up for CardHub for debit card control and Apple Pay, link into Credit Sense for credit score updates, and use remote deposit and bill pay.
Telphone Access: Access via our telephone attendant is changing from Kraft Talk ARU to i-Talk to improve access and services. You will still be able to call in to check your balance and make transfers but will now have access to check on other accounts like HELOCs and credit cards.
Payment/Maturity Dates: GKCU remains committed to giving you the best, competitive rates available. Unless notified directly by us, your maturity dates for long-term saving investments and payment dates for loans will remain the same.
Debit/Credit Cards: Your current GKCU debit and credit card will remain active until the expiration date. Auto-payments set up with these cards should transfer over and not affect any transactions associated with them. We do recommend that you check your expiration date to make sure you know when to expect a new card.
Checks: The checks you have will be valid during the transition. If you are running low on checks, we suggest ordering more prior to the conversion so there are no delays in getting your new order. Once the conversion is complete, you will be able to reorder checks via our online and mobile services or by visiting a branch.
Check Off The Checklist
Make Deposits: Be sure to make any deposits before the close of business on Friday, May 30. Any deposits made over the weekend will not be available until June 3 or later. Mobile Deposit functions will not be available over the weekend.
Get Cash: You should be able to withdraw cash at the ATMs over the weekend, but plan ahead and get cash prior to the conversion weekend. ATM withdrawals will be limited to $250 per day and card purchases will be limited to $1500 for the weekend.
Check Your Balances: Check your account balances prior to conversion weekend and personally keep up with any expenditures that will affect your balances, including outstanding checks, auto-payments and bill payments. You want to avoid overdrafts so be sure to use those check registers.
Record Bill Pays: Have a list of all names and account numbers for bills you pay on a regular basis (pay in-person, mail a check or pay online) in case there are issues over the weekend. It will also help when you enroll in our new Bill Pay system.
Online Records: Our Bill Pay system is changing. Be sure that all payments are made prior to the conversion weekend. Keep up with Bill Pay vendors to input them into the new system.
E-Statements: Print or save your transaction history/statements in case you need them for reference. We will not be able to access that information until after the conversion date and all systems are fully backed-up.
We encourage you to stop by a branch the week prior to the conversion to get cash, handle loan requests, or make payments. We also ask that you wait until after the conversion to open new services or change account allocations.
